County Seeks Volunteers for Emergency Preparedness Assessment
The Anne Arundel County Department of Health is seeking volunteers to assist its Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response in conducting a Community Assessment for Emergency Preparedness and Response (CASPER) on September 17 and 18, 2019. The goal of this assessment is to determine the current status of preparedness in the county and to identify gaps in emergency preparedness and response knowledge and readiness.

On Wednesday, June 19, Anne Arundel-Annapolis Community Emergency Response Team (AAACERT) training featured a presentation on Weather Hazards and Safety by Joseph Seborowski of the Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management (OEM). Seborowski, a trained meteorologist, is a Recovery Planner with the OEM.
AAACERT at the SPCA Walk – Spring 2019
On Sunday, June 16, nine AAACERT members volunteered at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County Walk for the Animals at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, providing information about emergency preparedness and AAACERT as well as directing almost 1,000 vehicles through Quiet Waters Park without incident.
